Victoria Kitching
Research Fellow
Victoria Kitching completed her MEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bradford in 2019. During her final year, she researched the influence that reactor geometry had on seeded granule formation.
In September 2019, she started her PhD in the Particle Technology Group at the University of Sheffield. Her project focussed on understanding the influence of flow conditions on spherical agglomeration through experimental and CFD simulations, which were then used to inform a process model. This work was supervised by Dr Rachel Smith and Prof. Jim Litster, with funding from Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation (CMAC) at the University of Strathclyde.
Victoria started as a Research Fellow in December 2023, working on the EPSRC funded DigiScale project to develop a digital twin for the optimisation and scale up of chemical reactions.
