Jamie Manson
PhD Student
University of Leeds
Jamie graduated from Newcastle University with a First in Chemical Engineering (MEng) in 2017. Jamie undertook a one year placement at Johnson Matthey’s Clitheroe catalyst production plant before returning to complete his master’s research project. The research focused on the mathematical modelling of titanium dioxide nanoparticle synthesis on a spinning disc reactor under the supervision of Dr Kamelia Boodhoo. Jamie is currently in the second year of this Ph.D. at the University of Leeds under the supervision of Dr Richard Bourne and Dr Thomas Chamberlain. His research is focused on the development of optimisation algorithms and their implementation on self-optimising continuous flow platforms.
