Bui Hoang Khang

Research Fellow

Bui Hoang Khang completed his BSc in Biotechnology (Advanced Program) at Can Tho University, Vietnam, in 2014, in collaboration with Michigan State University. He subsequently obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in 2022. His doctoral research focused on the development of continuous-flow chemistry systems and closed-loop automated hardware–software platforms for point-of-care integrated diagnostic devices, under the supervision of Prof. Tae Seok Seo. He continued this research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Kyung Hee University, working on self-driving laboratories and a customised Couette–Taylor reactor.

Following this, he joined the HITEC Center at KU Leuven as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where he worked on the process scale-up of continuous crystallisation and intensified reactor platforms. Currently, Khang is a Research Fellow in Nanoparticle Process Design at the University of Leeds, focusing on continuous-flow reactors, online analytical tools, and closed-loop process control for the precision synthesis of nanomaterials.
