Apoorva Suresh
MSc Student
Apoorva completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Amity University, Noida, India, where she developed a strong foundation in pharmacology and medicinal chemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she undertook mini projects investigating benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P)-induced neurotoxicity and exploring different nano-formulation types.
She completed summer research internships at the University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology in the Department of Pharmacognosy and at the Institute for Drug Delivery and Biomedical Research, gaining experience in formulation development, which motivated her current academic pursuits. She is now pursuing her MSc in Drug Discovery and Development at the University of Leeds, UK, and will be undertaking a project in the Chamberlain Group on the structure–activity relationship (SAR) and toxicity of silica nanoparticles in collaboration with Professor Andrew Nelson and Dr Ashi Rashid.
