Sajida Perveen
PhD Student
Sajida is a PhD researcher in Chemistry of Porous Materials at the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Václav Slovák, Ph.D. Her research focuses on the development of porous carbon coatings on ceramic foams for environmental and catalytic applications. She recently completed an international internship at the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, where she worked on SiO2@C core–shell nanocomposite coatings under the supervision of Prof. Chien-Hsiang Chang.
Sajida is currently undertaking part of her doctoral work at the University of Leeds, supervised by Prof. Tom Chamberlain and Prof. Richard Bourne, focusing on Ceramic nanocarbon composites for application as nanoparticle catalyst supports. Her research integrates adsorptive materials, surface functionalization, enzyme immobilization, catalytic applications, and sustainable surface modification for environmental remediation.
